Last-Minute Notes
- Bring $10 plus a bottle of great wine, or just pay $20 cash.
- Food is not needed - the food team have prepared a great menu.
- We have a great group of party hosts. Mike, Line, Katy, and LeeLee are the food team. Boris is managing the wine tasting. Dan and Sam are running the bar. Lisa and Tori are welcoming attendees at the door. Robert is running the music. Be sure to give them all thanks for their contributions.
- We are expecting a FULL party - it may be quite crowded at times.
- There is a liquor/wine store nearby - the NE corner of 6th and 16th. There is a small grocery store and a deli at the same intersection.
- To those on the wait list - you will be the first ones notified of the next garden social, which will probably be in a month or so.
- Please help clean up throughout the evening - with this many people, that would be much appreciated!
- Coco will be there! She is a Maltese (hypoallergenic) - please keep an eye out for her! 'Coco Moms' are always welcomed at parties of this size.
- Please help keep the noise to a dull roar, we have neighbors who can hear even people talking quietly in the garden. We will wind up the party around 1 or 2 AM out of courtesy.
- Thanks to so many who offered to help in different ways - with so many nice people, it is really a pleasure to host everyone!
Description
Announcing the first of this year's garden wine tasting parties! This event is a potluck wine tasting and house party. Food is provided - just bring wine (or liquor, if you like). The location is a garden apartment near Union Square.
The theme for the evening is Old World (i.e., Europe) vs New World (i.e., everywhere else) - bring a great bottle of wine from either and we will have a face-off between the old and new!
Everyone is to bring one of the following (exact change only):
- $10 and a bottle of wine (or a bottle of liquor if you wish), or
- $20 (less preferred, but if you are running late)
Prizes will be awarded for the top three wines (as voted on by everyone)!
All funds go toward our parties, such as food, mixers, specialty liquors, and party supplies.
For this event at a private residence, everyone who RSVPs must have a picture posted. The organizers are instructed to remove any RSVP without a picture.
